Donald C. Dailey, 83, a lifelong resident of the area, passed away Sunday April 21, 2019 with family by his side.

Don was born December 2, 1935 in Fredricktown, OH. He was a veteran of the US Army. Don worked as an Enameler for Eljer in Salem for over 30 years prior to his retirement. He also owned and operated several small businesses including New Sharp. When not working he enjoyed fishing, camping and being outdoors. He drove the motorhome to Florida for over 20 years each winter. He loved being around his family, friends and most especially his grandchildren. He took pride in his yard and home and was a friend to everyone.

Don is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jo-Ann Birch Dailey; daughter, Dawn (Edward) Baughman of East Palestine; two grandchildren, Meranda (Dalton) Cope and Jacob (Caitlynn Roberts) Carsey as well as his furry companion, Chewy.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents who raised him, Dan and Goldie Dailey.

A private funeral will be held for his family with interment to follow in Clarkson Cemetery. All other services will be private.
