East Palestine-

Dennis L. Holtom, 59, a lifelong resident of East Palestine, passed away September 13, 2018 unexpectedly at home due to natural causes.

Dennis was born March 25, 1959 in Salem, OH, son of John and Norma Shingleton Dyke.

He was a 1977 graduate of Beaver Local High School and a longtime active member of the Lake Mount Church of Christ where he served as Trustee.

Dennis retired from Columbiana Foundry after 25 years of service. He was a member of the Kool Time Kruisers car club and the Fairfield Ruritans. He was an avid Steelers, Pirates and Buckeye fan, who loved fishing and the outdoors.

Dennis is survived by a daughter, Micayla Holtom of East Palestine; two brothers, Wayne Holtom of Columbiana and Brian Holtom of Dublin; a sister, Joni Devereaux of Lancaster, OH; mother, Norma Holtom of Lancaster, OH; a special friend, Terry Jackson and his former wife, Cheryl Holtom.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Dyke at a young age, and his adoptive father, Robert Holtom.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday September 23, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Lake Mount Church of Christ in New Waterford with Jason Cole officiating.
