Delaney J. Clipse, "A.J", 81, passed away January 16, 2021 at his home with family by his side.

Delaney was born October 30, 1939 in Kingsport, TN, son of the late William and Mary Price Clipse.

He was employed as a truck driver for 35 years, most recently for Foster Trucking. When not working, he enjoyed camping, fishing, NASCAR, playing cards and spending time with family.

A.J. is survived by two sons, Jason (Sabrina) Clipse of Lisbon, Brian (Tiffany) Clipse of Lisbon; daughter, Barb Drabiski of Struthers; stepsons, J.R. (Melanie) Adams of Rogers, John Adams of Negley; stepdaughter, Bobbie Jo (Mike Pannunzio) Adams of New Waterford; 11 grandchildren, Brandan, Jordan, Sara Jo, Joey, Dani-Lynn, Taylor, Adrianne, Keith, Brianna, Brian and Zach; three brothers, William F. Clipse of Champion, Jack W. Clipse of Mansfield and Gary M. Clipse of Kingsport, TN.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 17 years, Debra, July 10, 2020; grandson, Dalton Lee Clipse; parents, William and Mary Clipse; his stepmother, who raised him, Betty Clipse and a brother, Anthony Clipse.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5-7 PM at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine. A funeral will be held 11:00 AM Thursday at the funeral home with Minister Mark Moore officiating. Interment to follow at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in New Waterford.
