East Palestine-

Dawn R. Newman, 58, passed away July 10, 2025, at her home following a brief illness.

Dawn was born January 12, 1967, in Beaver Falls, PA, daughter of the late Millard and Laura Lee Thompson Walker.

Being a lifelong resident of East Palestine, Dawn graduated from East Palestine High School with the Class of 1985. She worked for 15 years at Beaver Valley Nursing and Rehab. When not working, Dawn enjoyed crafting and watching the grandchildren play youth baseball.

She is survived by her companion of 20 years, Jay Cook; three children, Danyelle (Brock) Jurjavcic of East Palestine, Frankie (Courtney) Newman, Jr. of New Waterford and Travis Newman of East Palestine; sister, Kim (Joe) Gray of Canton a brother, Steve (Terri) Walker of East Palestine; six grandchildren, Sydney, Brody, Blake, Beau, Baylor and Shane as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Following Dawn's wishes, no public services will be observed.

Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine is in charge of arrangements.
