Negley-

David R. Weaver, 84, passed away October 20, 2025, at St. Mary's Alzheimer's Center in Columbiana.

David was born February 28, 1941, in Negley, son of the late David F. and Ruth (Green) Weaver.

He was a lifelong resident of Negley and a longtime member of Lake Mount Church of Christ in Rogers. He worked for a number of years in maintenance for Kenmar/Ethan Allen Furniture prior to his retirement. He was known for being able to repair the sewing machines and keep everything running smoothly within the company. He loved playing golf, hunting, fishing, farming and raising his goats.

David is survived by a son, Brian (Julie) Weaver of Negley; two daughters, Christine (Brian) Murphy of New London, OH, Kathy (Ryan) Stratton of Negley; a brother, Ronald (Elaine) Weaver of Negley; eleven grandchildren, Breanna, Grace, Hunter, Brandon, Bohdan, Gabriel, Desiree, Mikayla, Kaitlin, Brent and Jacob, as well as eight great grandchildren, Shaylee, Shane, Ian, Amelia, Scarlett, Jameson, Axel and Jace.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Sherry Felger Weaver in 2019 and two brothers, Michael and Thomas Weaver.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday at the Lake Mount Church of Christ with Tim Postle officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services from 12:00 -1:00 at the church. A private burial will follow at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in New Waterford.
