Enon Valley-

David Alan Mort, 74, of Enon Valley passed away Saturday morning, August 2, 2025 at his home surrounded by family following a lengthy illness.

David was born January 14, 1951, in Youngstown, Ohio, a son of the late Edgar and Eleanor (Sloan) Mort.

He was a graduate of Poland High School where he was captain of his basketball team and ran cross country.  David attended the Enon Valley Presbyterian Church.  Above all, he loved spending time with his family.   The family became an avid drag racing family whose vacations were camping to be near the track when his son Edgar took up the sport as a child.  David loved supporting his son, Tristan at his sporting events and restoring the old Corvette they bought together.  His most recent hobby was hunting with his daughter Tiffany.

David is survived by the love of his life, Deborah Dyke whom he married on December 24, 1978; together they would share over 46 years together.   He is survived by; sons, Edgar Mort and Tristan (Abrielle) Mort; daughters, Abigail McLean Blankenship, Tina (Robert) Eno, Tiffany (James Geer) Trosky; his twin brother, Douglas (Marlene) Mort; a sister, Julie (Rick) Thomas; grandchildren, Chelse (Nicholas laPointe) and Chad Parker, Cadence and Catherine Willis, Makayla Stoner, Zachary Samsa, Chase (Emma) Murray, Jack McLean Blankenship and a soon to be born grandson, Leo David; great grandchildren, Eliana, Weston, Tucker, Henry and Liam; nephews and nieces, James, Shelly and Jacelyn Mort, Steven, Elizabeth, Palmer, Bronte, and Lachlan Mort, Jessica, Javier, Enzo, and Elena Ginestra.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a son, Charles Mort who passed on November 1, 2023.

Per his wishes no services will be held at this time and a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine.
