New Waterford-

David C. Matthews, 38, passed away September 25, 2021 at the Hospice House in Poland following a lengthy illness.

David was born February 5, 1983 in Salem, OH, son of the late Ronald and Kelly Green Matthews.

He worked as a laborer, and when not working, David enjoyed working on cars, watching football and motorcycles.

David is survived by three sons, David Matthews, Jr., Ronald Matthews and Corbin Matthews all of New Waterford; a daughter, Caydence Matthews of New Waterford; brother, Mike (Heather) Matthews of Leetonia; three sisters, Meredith (Bob) Baxter of Lisbon, Mindy Matthews of New Waterford, Keshia Matthews of Rogers and seven nephews.

He was preceded by his maternal grandparents, Shirley Gorby Green and  Harold Green; paternal grandparents, Sanford and Evelyn Singleton Matthews.

There will be no public services observed at this time.

Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine is in charge of arrangements.
