East Palestine-

Darlene K. McCabe, 60, passed away June 1, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Boardman.

Darlene was a lifelong resident of East Palestine, with exception of the few years she lived in N. Ft. Myers, FL.

She was born January 6, 1964, in Salem, OH, daughter of the late Robert Smith, Sr. and Betty Urbach Smith.

Darlene is survived by her husband of 20 years, Bill McCabe; a daughter, Jessica (Kyle) Black of Cape Coral, FL; three sisters, Carolyn Halverstdt, Linda (Harold) Stanley, Debra Butler; a grandson, Liam and many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by a daughter in infancy, Kaylene and two brothers, Robert Smith, Jr. and Bruce Smith.

Following Darlene's wishes, no services will be observed.

The family wishes monetary donations to be made in her name direct to the funeral home to help defray the cost.
