Daisy D. Harn, 85, passed away peacefully April 24, 2024, with family by her side.

Daisy was born May 28, 1938, in Negley, OH, daughter of the late Frank and Grace (Kennedy) Cope.

She resided in North Lima, but always considered the family farm in East Palestine as home. She worked as a homemaker most of her life, taking care of the family, farm, and animals. She also canned vegetables from her huge garden to help Bob provide for the family's needs. She frequently helped care for her grandchildren and older family members. She and Bob always made the holidays special, especially Christmas with her beautifully wrapped presents. Even though she was a private person, Daisy enjoyed being surrounded by family, as long as she wasn't the center of attention. There were always requests for her baked beans and no-bake cookies for picnics and parties. A typical visit in later years was watching westerns, playing cards or dominos with the kids, and sharing ice cream, angel food cake, or cookies. She was fiercely independent and adamantly refused to move in with any of her children because she didn't want to burden anyone, although any of her kids would have loved to have her with them. She didn't like to travel, but she did love going on car rides, seeing the beauty in nature, and planting flowers. When she was younger, she enjoyed ice skating, swimming, and spending her summers in Michigan with relatives. Daisy is survived by two sons, Robert (Amy) Harn of East Rochester and Richard (Pamela) Harn of East Palestine; three daughters, Katherine (Dale) McGinnis, Julie Henderson, and Sharon (John) Dowd, all of East Palestine;21 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Harn in 2016; two grandchildren, Robert J. Harn and Daniel Flowers; a great grandchild, Cody Flowers; a son-in-law, Eric Henderson; a sister and brother-in-law, Pauline (Bill) Green; and a brother and sister-in-law, George (Dorothy) Cope.

A memorial luncheon for family, will be held Friday at 11:30 AM at the Das Dutch House in Columbiana all are invited to visit and share a memory at this time. No other services will be observed, per Daisy's insistence.
