Cecilia Fittante, 97, of McKees Rocks,PA, formerly of Coraopolis, PA, passed away July 27, 2017 in Plainfield, IL, where she resided with her daughter the past few years.

Cecilia was born December 3, 1919 in New Kensington, PA daughter of the late Francis and Louise Niemczyk Hawrot.

She was of the Catholic faith, and worked as a Custodian for Calgon before retiring in 1991.

She is survived by a son, Thomas A. (Beverly) Fittante of New Waterford; a daughter, Dolores Knapik of Plainfield, Il.; two grandchildren, Amy Knapik and Cindi (John) Epple as well as five great grandchildren.

Cecilia was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Fittante in 1970; as well as two brothers, Edward and Frank Hawrot and two grandchildren, Danean Delinski and Thomas Fittante, II.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday Aug. 6, 2017 at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine with Father Chris Cicero officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday following the service until 4:00 PM. A private interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery in Moon twp, PA.
