Negley-

Carol J. Sensenbaugher, 79, a lifelong resident of Negley, passed away September 16, 2024, at the Salem Regional Medical Center following an unexpected brief illness.

Carol was born October 10, 1944, in Beaver Falls, PA, daughter of the late Joseph Richard and Edith Kelty Goodhart.

She was a 1962 graduate of East Palestine High School and a longtime member of the Negley United Methodist Church. Carol worked as a home health aid for a number of years prior to her retirement. She enjoyed being outdoors and working in the garden. She was a loving mother and grandmother and adored her family.

Carol is survived by four daughters, Judy Noel of Lisbon, Jody (Glenn) Burt of Columbiana, Terry Cope of Leetonia, Jeannie Sensenbaugher of Lisbon; a sister, Judy Robb; fourteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandson as well as three girls who also lovingly referred to her as mom, Chrissy Noel, Jennifer Howe and Shirley Brant.

She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Sherry Sensenbaugher Petrich and a grandson, Caleb Cope.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine with Pastor Cindy Figley officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service from 10-11 AM. No other services will be observed.
