Betty L. Hollenbaugh, 87, passed away following a lengthy illness, July 16, 2018 with family by her side.

She was born January 5, 1931 in Youngstown, daughter of the late Clair and Mabel Titus Smith.

Betty grew up in Poland and New Middletown but has been a resident of East Palestine since 1960. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. Betty worked as a lunch room and math Aide for over 30 years with East Palestine City School District prior to her retirement.

Betty is survived by a son, Donald (Linda) Hollenbaugh of Parma; a daughter, Diane Kelly of East Palestine; four grandchildren, Justin Oates, Dave Hollenbaugh, Dan Hollenbaugh and Jon Kelly; ten great grandchildren, Tabby, Gabby, Maggie, Chris, Jon, Jr., Ember, Ocean, Shiloh, Ian and Austin, as well as a brother, Robert (Kathleen) Smith of East Fairfield and two sisters, Kathy Duncan and Ginny (Bob) Spear, both of East Palestine.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Harry whom she married June 8, 1951 and passed away February 22, 2011.

Following Betty's wishes, all services will be private at this time.
