Betty A. Frederick, 78, passed away peacefully June 25, 2025.

Betty was born April 5, 1947, in Salem, OH, daughter of the late Glenn and Alice (Bucheker) Hostetter.

She was a 1966 graduate of East Palestine High School and a lifelong resident of East Palestine. Betty worked at the Chippewa Home Depot in their garden center for 10 years. She enjoyed farming and gardening and listening to the car stereo on her joy rides. Her greatest happiness came from being with family.

Betty is survived by three children, Shelly (Rick) Downey of Columbiana, Tim (Tara) Frederick of East Palestine, Sara (Wade Baer) Frederick of Columbiana; two brothers, Chuck Hostetter of King, NC, Eugene Hostetter of North Lima; two sisters, Donis Kincade of Salem and Gloria Gernert of Columbiana as well as three grandchildren, Jacob, Lilly and Lucas who affectionately referred to her as Mayme.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 4:00-6:00 PM at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 PM. A private burial will take place on Monday for the family at New Waterford Cemetery.
