East Palestine-

Betty J. Bish, 95, passed away October 27, 2021, at the Christian House in East Palestine.

Betty was born September 15, 1926, in Tarentum, PA, daughter of the late Floyd and Margaret Sample Gould.

She has resided in East Palestine since 1965, having come from Pennsylvania. Betty worked for 25 years as a Ward Secretary for Salem Community Hospital prior to her retirement in 1992. She loved spending time with her family, most especially hosting family gatherings at her home. Betty also enjoyed music and was proud to have completed the Arthur Murray Ballroom Dancing course.

Left to cherish her memory are five daughters, Pat (Rick) Altland of York, PA, Nancy (Forrest) Rearick of New Bethlehem, PA. Ruth Ann Davis of Marysville, OH, Joyce McGuire of East Palestine, OH, Bonnie (Jon) Ferrell of Wittman, AZ; sister, Joanne Balio of Leetonia, OH; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, Robert Bish in 1965; a son, Ronald Bish, September 27, 2021, and a grandson, Bradley Rearick.

The family will receive friends Thursday November 4, 2021, from 11:00 – 1:00 at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine, with a memorial service to follow at 1:00 PM.

The calling hours and memorial service are not only to honor the life Betty lived, but also her son Ronald who passed away unexpectedly in September.

Burial will be at Kellersburg Lutheran Cemetery at the family's convenience.

The family will be forever grateful to the staff at Christian House for the outstanding level of care provided during this most difficult past year.  In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Christian House LLC, 82 Garfield Ave, East Palestine, Ohio 44413.
