Betty J. Bevington, 94, passed away June 10, 2018 at Salem Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

Betty was born July 15, 1923 in Beaver Falls, PA, daughter of the late Leroy and Carrie Tullis Cox.

She has been a resident of New Waterford for the past 60 years, coming from Beaver, PA. and worked as a homemaker.

Betty is survived by a son, Ronald Bevington of New Waterford; daughter, Phyllis J. Sharou of Las Vegas; brother, Earl Cox of California; two grandchildren, Melody Segawa and Nadia Cassell and two great grandchildren, Michael and Lindsey.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Bevington in 2002 after 60 years of marriage, as well as four brothers, Leroy, Chester, William, and Clifford Cox.

Calling hours will be held Thursday June 14, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine. A funeral service will be 11:00 AM Friday at the funeral home. A private interment will follow at Crest Haven Memorial Garden in New Waterford.
